R\u00e9gie par la loi de 1901, il s\u2019agit d\u2019une association \u00e0 but non lucratif. Sa gouvernance est assur\u00e9e par un conseil d\u2019administration et une commission de contr\u00f4le, o\u00f9 si\u00e8gent employeurs et salari\u00e9s du territoire.<\/h3>\n<h4>Les SPSTI fonctionnent avec un agr\u00e9ment, et leur activit\u00e9 est r\u00e9glement\u00e9e. Pour fonctionner, un Service doit \u00eatre agr\u00e9\u00e9 par l\u2019administration du Travail au niveau r\u00e9gional. Cette intervention permet d\u2019apporter \u00e0 l \u2018employeur des premiers \u00e9l\u00e9ments, pour lui permettre d\u2019\u00e9valuer les risques et d\u2019envisager les actions de pr\u00e9vention.<br \/>En parall\u00e8le, le m\u00e9decin du travail ou l\u2019infirmier.e en sant\u00e9 au travail (sous le protocole de d\u00e9l\u00e9gation) surveillent l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 de chaque salari\u00e9 dans le cadre d\u2019une visite individuelle qui a lieu, en fonction des situations, avant ou apr\u00e8s l\u2019embauche. La visite est renouvel\u00e9e \u00e0 un rythme adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 chaque cas. Sous l\u2019autorit\u00e9 du m\u00e9decin du travail, une r\u00e9flexion s\u2019engage avec une \u00e9quipe pluridisciplinaire (sous le protocole de d\u00e9l\u00e9gation), pour proposer des solutions adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019entreprise et \u00e0 ses salari\u00e9s. Cette \u00e9quipe est compos\u00e9e de sp\u00e9cialistes de la pr\u00e9vention des diff\u00e9rents risques professionnels, comme par exemple, assistant technicien en hygi\u00e8ne et s\u00e9curit\u00e9, infirmier, ergonome, toxicologue, assistant de service social, psychologue.<br \/>L\u2019\u00e9quipe pluridisciplinaire met en rapport le diagnostic sur l\u2019environnement de travail, et l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 individuel du salari\u00e9, dans le respect du secret professionnel. Elle peut alors recommander des actions appropri\u00e9es pour pr\u00e9server la sant\u00e9 des salari\u00e9s. Le m\u00e9decin du travail d\u00e9termine notamment le suivi de l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 chacun. Si besoin, un ou plusieurs membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe pluridisciplinaire interviennent de nouveau dans l\u2019entreprise, pour conseiller et accompagner la mise en place des mesures de pr\u00e9vention. Le suivi de l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 individualis\u00e9 est mis en place. Ind\u00e9pendamment, une visite m\u00e9dicale du salari\u00e9 peut \u00eatre organis\u00e9e \u00e0 sa demande ou \u00e0 celle de son employeur. Le m\u00e9decin du travail peut demander \u00e0 revoir le salari\u00e9 dans le cadre d\u2019un suivi personnalis\u00e9. Toutes les donn\u00e9es recueillies dans le dossier m\u00e9dical, et le dossier d\u2019entreprise, permettent d\u2019adapter le suivi de chaque salari\u00e9 tout au long de son parcours professionnel, et de mieux accompagner l\u2019entreprise dans sa d\u00e9marche de pr\u00e9vention.
